BIOGRAPHY
INTERESTS I use geophysical methods to study the Earth structure and geological processes at subduction zones, rifted continental margins and mid-ocean spreading centers. I fundamentally work on the analysis, processing and imaging of seismic data using state-of-the-art techniques like modern pre-stack depth migration and velocity estimation. I integrate seismic imaging and other geophysical observations with geological data to study the processes of formation of oceanic lithosphere at spreading centers, and of extension at non-volcanic rifted margins. I am also interested on the interaction between fluids, long-term tectonics and the generation of earthquakes at convergent margins and oceanic plates of subduction zones.
